ePerf: Performance and Modelling of Energy Systems

Organizers: Prashant Shenoy, Universty of Massachusetts (USA), and Omid Ardakanian, University of Alberta (Canada)

Sustainability is a topic of great importance in modern society. This workshop aims to explore how improvements to or new uses of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can improve the environmental sustainability of computer systems, networks, and applications as well as cyber-physical systems (e.g., buildings, power grids, and transportation systems). ePerf is intended to bring together researchers from the Performance community with researchers and practitioners in the Energy Systems and Informatics area, to exchange technical ideas and experiences on issues related to energy systems, sustainability and ICT. The workshop will include invited talks and will serve as a forum for the Performance community to apply their techniques to this emerging and important area.
